Breast cancer is something all women worry about. It is common, roughly 13 out of every 100 ladies will suffer from breast cancer, but on a positive note, most ladies survive!
The earlier we can detect problems, the better your chances of survival-make sure you go to your screening.
Mammograms can detect cancers the size of a grain of rice, before they can be seen or felt by you or your doctor. An Integriti Women's Health GP can carry out an examination of your breast as part of a consultation, more importantly they can help facilitate a mammogram for you if needed.
When should I start breast screening?
- If you are over 40 you can ask to have a mammogram
- If you are aged 50-74 you will be invited to have a mammogram
Contact Breast Screen Australia on 132 050 to find a location near you.

You do not need a referral from your doctor.
What if I have a family history of breast cancer?

- Genetic conditions: BRCA2, BRCA1 & CHEK2
How can I reduce my risk?
